My mother passed on her interest in archaeology and ancient history to me
as a child. Her primary interests lay in Ancient Egypt and the Near East.
I still retain a deep interest in the history of these cultures as well
as many others. I am particularly interested in the effects of
catastrophes on peoples throughout history.
