It is found that at certain conditions, concerning dielectric properties of the nucleus, the energy of the electric field generated during strong solar flares is restricted by discharge potential of the nucleus material. This energy is comparable to the energy of large cometary outbursts. Simulation of the electric discharge mechanism of cometary outbursts in the corresponding technical high-voltage generating device seems a relevant problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Bibtex entry for this abstract * *Preferred format for this abstract * (see Preferences ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Find Similar Abstracts: Use: Authors Title Abstract Text Return: Query Results Return items starting with number Query Form Database: Astronomy Physics arXiv e-prints ------------------------------------------------------------------------
