A NEW PARADIGM OF SCIENTIFIC THOUGHT - THE ELECTRIC UNIVERSE Article 19 : Implications of the electrical explanation of mass and gravity - Part 4 by Bishop Nicholas Sykes In this article I hope to be able to look a little more closely into the Electric Universe expectation of a changed behaviour of the mass of the Earth, when compared with the gravity only paradigm expectation, and suggest that there could be an application of this to a greater understanding of earthquakes and volcanoes. Our familiar gravity-only paradigm of mass, notably in its application to planet-sized bodies, assumes that the mass of a body is entirely independent of any sort of electrical measure relating to the body. In this paradigm, mass and electric charge, for example, belong to two entirely separate worlds, which may meet, but without one system of perception affecting the other. A net electrical charge that might on occasion be found to be possessed by the Earth, for example, could only affect the total mass of the Earth by adding or subtracting the mass of the charged particles that were causing the net charge. In the electric universe paradigm, the worlds of mass and charge are not so separated. As we have seen in Article 18, the EU paradigm proposes that the transmission of gravitational influence from, say, the Sun to the Earth, is effected by an electrical process just as truly as is the transmission of light. Both sorts of transmission are effected by the dipolar electric distortion of the subtronic orbits of the neutrinos which, it is proposed, are thinly but universally distributed through space, making up the aether that is the medium of transmission. Gravity transmission and electromagnetic transmission are very different from one another, but they have in common that they are both electrical in nature. We may hope that the physics of unspoken communication that occurs sometimes between human beings, when, say, one person feels the other looking at him and unconsciously turns toward that person, will become as describable as gravity and electromagnetic wave radiation are in the EU model, but let us leave that aside for the present. The important thing to note now is that we have a model for the electrical transmission of gravity, the gravity which in the old paradigm belonged (albeit awkwardly) to the world that was entirely separated from the world of electrical measure. And, just as strikingly, in the EU model we have an electrical perception of mass itself: in the EU mass has become an electrical measure of a body's response to the electrical transmission of gravity - a measure of the ease of dipolar electric distortion of the subtronic orbits of the particles of the body. The new paradigm therefore seems to make it impossible to preserve the customary intellectual apartheid between mechanical physics and electrical physics: it is envisaged, rather, that the world of mass and the world of charge are interactive. With the Electric Universe concept it is possible to envisage a universe that could be in existence before gravitation spread throughout its reach. In the universe as we know it, gravitational mass is "caught" from the influence of a gravitationally engaged celestial body - say, a sun whose constituent particles are electrically polarised through the distortion of their subtronic orbits - with that influence travelling outward (at a speed of probably over 20 billion times the speed of light) through the aether of neutrinos and reducing in intensity with the square of the distance travelled, until it alights upon a solid, liquid or gaseous body, such as our Earth. That body's constituent particles are now gravitationally "caught" by the spreading gravitational influence of that sun and polarised electrically on account of the distortion of their subtronic orbits, and, gravitationally, the planetary body becomes a child of its parent, and perhaps a "parent" of children (its moons). Wal Thornhill proposes that the initial cause of the electrical polarisation within celestial bodies, i.e. their gravity, is due to the birth of stars and planets in powerful plasma discharge events (EU theory, it is to be noted, rejects the standard accretion theories for the coming into being of stars and other celestial bodies). Thornhill goes on to assert, "Once established, gravity itself provides a weak radial atomic polarisation by drawing the heavy nucleus away from the centre of each atom toward the centre of a planetary body." This atomic polarisation is to be distinguished from the subtronic orbital polarisation that is gravity itself. Thornhill is saying that in a planetary body such as the Earth, there is a significant electrical pressure, due to gravity as it has been electrically explained, that distorts the atoms of the matter of the body, the positive nuclei being caused by the weak force involved to shift towards the planetary centre, as compared with the corresponding distortion of the orbits of the atoms' electrons, which are forced to shift away from the planetary centre. Thus, astonishingly for those of us brought up in the gravity-only paradigm, neutral atoms distorted by gravity induce an electric field inside a body. For an Earth-sized body the electric field thus induced will be very significant: the planet will act like an electrical version of a magn-et (magnet), called an electr-et (electret), and also any free electrons will as a result of the gravitational induction tend to move up towards the surface of the planet. The depths of the planet are under pressure, causing pressure ionisation, thus increasing conductivity, and the separation of electric charges in connection with the upwards drift of electrons. The excess of electrons in the upper levels will mutually repel one another and therefore tend to offset the gravitational compression. First, these considerations may provide a possible reasonable explanation for the "anomalous" gravity readings within mineshafts, referred to also in Art 18, where the gravitational constant, G, has been found to be lower than expected. Secondly, these considerations should provoke a scope and urgency for the investigation of an electrical major cause for earthquakes and volcanoes, the causes for which like so many other things, have been confined in modern human imagination to mechanically driven events in an assumedly neutral universe: this, in spite of the confirmed electrical effects that surround these phenomena. Tectonic plate boundaries might well be found in the new paradigm to be describable in terms of paths of increased electrical conductivity, repeatedly relieving local electrical stress, paths which give rise to explosive lightning-like electric currents within the Earth, drawing ionised and non-ionised matter along with them.
