I first made the discovery in September of 2000, and I announced my discovery on a public message board, but did not announce any specifics regarding the functioning of the device itself. In my discussions over the next several months, it became clear that there was actually a littany of devices that /*could*/ have done the job of building the pyramids of Egypt... but what was necessary was an evidence-based theory for how the job was actually done. I have received many emails and message-board posts since that announcement two years ago. Some people have referred to me as a fraud, or a charlatan. The vast majority of emails, however, have been of a far more constructive and supportive nature. For all of the emails, I am thankful. For any "lack of responsiveness" on my part, I am truly apologetic. The important part of any theory is beginning with evidence. We have such evidence in the form of the pyramids themselves. It is obvious that they were built, and the competing construction theories that I have seen in books, on video, and on the internet all seem to have inherent weaknesses in them... areas that they have left unanswered, or evidence that they have left unexplained. My goal has been, and still is, to create the most logical, pragmatic, data-encompassing, evidence based model for megalithic pyramid construction advanced since the pyramids themselves were built. In doing so, I have had to spend enormous time and resources studying not just one pyramid, but several. I have been forced to spend thousands of my own dollars on books, papers, and on site research in Egypt itself. All along, my driving motivation has been to find (or more sometimes more correctly, to* not* find) the pieces of evidence that would prove the undoing of my theory. I have set up several tests, whereby evidence would be predicted, and the evidence was found in each and every case. There have been modifications to the original work. That's how science advances. When I read back over what I had written two years ago, I feel like I'm reading the naive ramblings of a high school student. Late last year, my first article was published in KMT Magazine. In this article, I announced the discovery of a new block count for the pyramid of Khufu (some 3.9 million blocks, rather than 2.3 million that has been in use since Petrie calculated it using overly-simplistic averages 120 years ago); I demonstrated a new computerized technique for examining the pyramid of Khufu; and as far as I can tell, I was the first to discover that the first course of Khufu's pyramid is exactly 1/100th the overall finished height of the pyramid, and this does not appear to be a coincidence, based on the evidence I presented. This work, however, represents a mere fraction of what I have actually discovered and documented. The more I studied, the more I found out I needed to know much, much more before I could even take myself seriously on this endeavor to slightly revise our understanding of the ancient Egyptians. I am unlettered, inexperienced, and generally unqualified to be undertaking such a task... but it is that constant state of humility that drives me to make sure every detail I attempt to present is checked and double-checked against the most modern, up-to-date resources available. To date, my work now encompasses, and explains, the following questions about the megalithic pyramid construction age of ancient Egypt: 1. How the Egyptians built the Pyramids of Sneferu, Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure and beyond. 2. Precisely how many years and people it took to build the pyramid of Khufu at Giza. 3. Why the pyramids are shaped as they are (including the anomalous Bent Pyramid at Dahshur). 4. Why the chambers inside the pyramids are layed out as they are. 5. Why Khufu's pyramid has "creases" up the four sides. 6. Why the anomalous shafts exist within the pyramid of Khufu at Giza. 7. What is the actual reason for the changing in pyramid alignments over time. 8. A comprehensive timeline for all construction at the Giza Plateau, including the Sphinx 9. How the megalithic technology evolved and changed through Egyptian history. As one can imagine, this is no small task. When you're on the right track, the doors just keep opening up in front of you. Every discovery led to another. Every innovation or adaptation led to a better understanding of other data and other evidence that had been considered anomalous...until now. I'm not asking for support, kindness, or trust. I'm actually apologizing for making the announcement two years ago...long before I was ever, ever ready to make such a bold and arrogantly rash statement. Had I found out I was wrong, anywhere along the way, I would gladly have tossed this thing off my desk, and put it all out on the internet to show people how to KILL a bad theory. That, in and of itself, would have been of use to the public. Pieces of my evidence were wrong, but the core theory, and primary evidence, refused to be shaken. There are too many people out there with good ideas, but they cannot seem to grasp the necessity to be their own harshest critics. I would have loved to have served as a model for them. Unfortunately, I am not getting off that easily. On a personal note, I don't want this job any more. I hate thinking about it. I have a great life, and absolutely no need to ever think about this again. Sometimes I think this frustration comes out in my discussions, because I wish I could just be as wrong as some of the other theories that fly around the internet. But, when a person holds a key, I think that person has a responsibility to use that key to help unlock our past. I am reasonably convinced I hold such a key. What am I asking for, then? In a word, /*patience*/. We live in a world where 24-hour news creates the impression that everything should be resolved before the next commercial break. Quarterly returns dictate the value of a hundred-year old company. The success of a child's life is based on the outcome of a single junior league soccer game. I won't rush. I am not going to be pushed into putting out information that may be wrong, so long as I can find the energy and wherewithall to discover the mistake first by myself. It may take me one more year... or it may take me five. Anybody who says the Egyptologists never update their ideas and theories has never tried writing a paper based on the most current data. It is always pushing ahead, faster than most can read. I will not be rushed into putting out shoddy work just because "enquiring minds want to know". I'm sorry. I would like to thank the countless people who have helped me with my work over the last two years. Your efforts, criticisms, and inputs have all been taken with the utmost seriousness, and I don't think there's anything that has been pointed out by a critic that hasn't been worked into the current theoretical model. I've taken every word to heart. Thank you. Most sincerely, Anthony Sakovich Florida, USA * *
