The project is based in the Hebrew and Old Testament Department, [1]New College, at the [2]University of Edinburgh . The project has been running for over a year now, but due to severe problems with the PC server, we have recently moved our files to this new location. We hope to provide digital images of some of the texts written in the alphabetic cuneiform script developed at the ancient city of Ugarit, as well information on matters Ugaritic in general. _________________________________________________________________ We would like to extend our gratitude to the many [3]people whose contribution to this project has made this archive possible. If you have any questions about Ugarit or Ugaritic studies, please send an email to [4]N.Wyatt at ed.ac.uk. We would welcome texts, images, draft papers, and any information that relates to Ugaritic studies. _________________________________________________________________ __ERSP Resources [5]What's New * The Edinburgh Ras Shamra Project - an introduction * [6]Ras Shamra (Ugarit) - an introduction * [7]The Museum and Tours * [8]The Texts from Ugarit * [9]A Selected Bibliography for Ugaritic studies * Miscellaneous Other WWW home pages of interest * [10]The University of Chicago Oriental Institute home page * [11]ABZU: Guide to resources for the study of the Ancient Near East available on the Internet UK Mirror. * [12]Egyptology Resources home page * [13]Classics and Mediterranean Archaeology Home Page * [14]CHORUS (sponsored by Peinet, Canada) Edinburgh and Scotland * [15]A link to the University of Edinburgh home page * [16]A tour of Edinburgh provided by the University's Geography department * [17]An Official Tourist Guide to the City of Edinburgh * [18]An experimental Malt Whisky tour _________________________________________________________________ Jeff Lloyd at [19]Jeff.Lloyd at ed.ac.uk Nick Wyatt at [20]N.Wyatt at ed.ac.uk Last modified: 17-February-1998 References 1. http://www.div.ed.ac.uk/ 2. http://www.ed.ac.uk/ 3. http://www.ed.ac.uk/~ugarit/acknowl.htm 4. mailto:N.Wyatt at ed.ac.uk 5. http://www.ed.ac.uk/~ugarit/whatnew.htm 6. http://www.ed.ac.uk/~ugarit/rsintro/intro001.htm 7. http://www.ed.ac.uk/~ugarit/museum/welcome.htm 8. http://www.ed.ac.uk/~ugarit/texts/welcome.htm 9. http://www.ed.ac.uk/~ugarit/bibliog.htm 10. http://sippar-orinst.uchicago.edu/OI/default.html 11. http://www.newton.cam.ac.uk/OI/DEPT/RA/ABZU/ABZU.HTML 12. http://www.newton.cam.ac.uk/egypt/ 13. http://rome.classics.lsa.umich.edu/welcome.html 14. http://www.peinet.pe.ca:2080/Chorus/home.html 15. http://www.ed.ac.uk/ 16. http://www.geo.ed.ac.uk/home/tour/edintour.html 17. http://lynn.efr.hw.ac.uk/EDC/Edinburgh.html 18. http://www.dcs.ed.ac.uk/staff/jhb/whisky/ 19. mailto:jeff.lloyd at ed.ac.uk 20. mailto:N.Wyatt at ed.ac.uk
