He is probably a nova and will soon fade to the dim status of an historical instance of the instability of an intense implausible conviction." So wrote Edward Boring, a renowned Harvard psychologist,in 1952. Over 40 years later, Velikovsky's work is alive and well, having spawned a handful of journals and an international following numbering in the thousands. As I write, a biography is set to appear (for details, write ev.cochrane at ames.net); several books devoted to the controversy surrounding his work are in the works; and an international symposium celebrating Velikovsky and the new catastrophism is scheduled for July. With respect to Dr. Boring's judgement, one can only hope that his professional prognoses were more astute than his prognostication regarding Velikovsky. KRONOS was launched in 1975 to provide a forum for discussion of the ideas of Immanuel Velikovsky, author of Worlds in Collision. KRONOS ceased publication in 1988. Featuring articles and reviews by leading scholars from dozens of fields, KRONOS provided the most extensive debate--both pro and con--of Velikovsky's ideas anywhere in the scientific literature. Here you'll find Velikovsky taking on the likes of Sagan, Shapley, Huber, and countless other leading representatives of the scientific establishment. Here alone you'll read dozens of unpublished articles by Velikovsky. Back issues of KRONOS are available for $10 a copy. It is possible to order the entire series--over 40 issues--for $350, a savings of some $100. Please allow three dollars on all orders for shipping, foreign mailings excluded. Photocopies of individual articles are also available at $2.00 a copy, mailing costs included. _For more information write to: Ev Cochrane 601 Hayward Ames Iowa, 50014._ or email [1]Ev Cochrane The following are the table of contents of the respective issues: [2]Volume 1 [3]Volume 2 [4]Volume 3 [5]Volume 4 [6]Volume 5 [7]Volume 6 [8]Volume 7 [9]Volume 8 [10]Volume 9 [11]Volume 10 [12]Volume 11 [13]Volume 12 Vol. 1:1 The New Science of Immanuel Velikovsky.by Thomas A.
