Having the knowledge and proper information is almost identical with obtaining and keeping the force which would lead the owner of wisdom to see the complete picture as available as it is and getting the most appropriate decisions about certain situations. Even the first "class differentiations" and "hegemony mechanisms" among human societies were build upon the state of whether having the exact data and knowledge or not. The first known "multi-class" social structure or more correctly, the first emerged hierarchical system was basic "chieftain" in human history and it appeared as a primitive model of a social group being divided into two basic layers: The ruler minority (those who had the "knowledge") and the rest of the society (those who had not) that were subject to be ruled. This simple core of the "inequality" has always remained principally the same, while the human civilization continued to evolve and the social structure became more and more sophisticated with various layers and "rival" social classes as well as the "state" continuously experienced a metamorphosis from the early examples of despotic leadership, through slavery and feudalism to the contemporary "democratic" capitalist state with highly advanced military and bureaucratic mechanisms. Just when and how the basic balance in human groups were shaken and the concept of "leadership" of a primitive communal society bore the despotic nucleus of chieftain among itself? Or a more direct question: How had the "social classes" with different property rights and advantages first emerged? The answer is plain simple: At a very critical time in distant past, some distinctive members of this communal herd, who had devoted themselves to learn the basic facts of the nature, suddenly felt the power of wisdom in their hands when they had become the "natural leaders" for others with the help of the knowledge they gathered by observations and the record keeping activity. They knew the "seasons"; they knew of the paths of the Sun, the Moon and the stars; they could predict the eclipses and some "other" natural events and cycles (we shall come back to this later) and most importantly, they were able to define the correct times for agricultural activity (which was vital for the human settlements of the early Neolithic). Who else could be the "wise chief" of the primitive society, amid a soft transition from the hunter-gatherer stage to a more sophisticated agricultural economy? The "wise men" soon realized the importance of the knowledge and information they had, which had supplied them the privileges among the society. They became "the sound of wisdom": The mighty priests who know of both the earth and the heavens. And not surprisingly, they chose to keep the knowledge (which was the obvious source of their power) to themselves, instead of sharing it with the rest of the community. How could they give up all those privileges they had with the help of the knowledge and information, by sharing it with the others and spoil the "divine magic" of their own special status? Aside from keeping it, the critical information should be made inaccessible to others and this should be the core of the very essence of their hegemony. And the main instrument to provide this "protected status" of wisdom was eventually defined: Covering up the bare facts and replacing the plain truth and knowledge with highly occulted myths and taboos. This had been the very first instance of "disinformation" experience in the history of human civilization. The priests were the rulers, "The Wise Men" who got the divine knowledge of heavens, with the right to rule and guide the community. Only they could deal with the wisdom, only they could run the continuous stargazing activity and "calendar-keeping" system, only they could advise people what and when to do. The record keeping and information collecting were their undiscussable privileges. The others, should just obey them and work for the daily needs of the community. The place of the divine knowledge and sacred information were the special structures this ruling class of wise men dwelt in, simply called the "temples". And in these special sacred places, they developed the essential elements of the disinformation, which was in fact nothing but the occulted (and somehow distorted) forms of the earthly and celestial facts, which would later form the bulk of the mystical explanations on the Universe, and would be called the "religion". They presented the occulted versions of the celestial processes instead of the pure truth; the covered up myths and legends instead of the clear details and facts; the rituals, sacred prayers and incantations instead of the real knowledge. They demanded only obedience and worshipping to the eternal powers of which they claimed themselves the "representatives" or "messengers". The records, kept by observing the natural cycles, celestial movements and collecting the direct experiences which were passed via the oral traditions from the ancestors were accessible only for them and those who were "initiated". This basic core of disinformation remained the same throughout the ages, although social and political structure of the human societies have eventually become more and more sophisticated. The sources of the knowledge and wisdom has changed a lot too; now we have hundreds of scientific disciplines and fields, thousands of "top experts" and hundreds of thousands scientists all around the world. The "centers of knowledges" has also evolved a lot. Now we have the universities instead of temples and "initiate schools" but the essentials of the system are simply the same: The scientific research and competency is the privilege of the universities. If you are interested with any branch of science, you should first be "initiated" by attending to a graduate program, and then if you desire to be among those "wise men" you need to get your master degree and have your second step "initiation" in those contemporary associations of knowledge and information. There are not "High Priests" any more but we have rectors, deans and professors of the scientific hierarchy instead. Though, in contrary to the ancient and medieval systems, it is not forbidden to deal with science independently by working on your own researches, the privilege of "scientific credibility" still belongs to some another form of authority we call the universities. (And believe me, they are not much different than their ancient ancestors in terms of conservatism.) You can go ahead and do your own research, write your paper or even "dare" to publish your book; no one would arrest and put you in front of the inquisitors, to be burned or tortured soon after the "trial". Instead of these "barbaric" actions, our modern "wise men" will just ignore you first. If your thesis or book eventually gets positive responses from the society, then the scientific elites will interfere and begin to humiliate you: You'll soon find yourself accused of dealing with "pseudo science". Mentioning of "Planet X" or dealing with any kind of catastrophism in your research could be the biggest "sin", according to this scientific orthodoxy who seem eager to virtually "crucify" anybody who dared to investigate the generally accepted view of the universe they presented. Just recall what happened to Immanuel Velikovsky in early fifties, when he "dared" to publish his work which presented a catastrophist approach to our solar system with some very unorthodox claims about planet Venus. Even Dr Carl Sagan admitted that the frenzy directed to Velikovsky was regrettable and even a shame, in his works, published years after the "Velikovsky Affair". The paradigm resists The roots of the current paradigm lies back in the Newtonian concept of universe which suggested a "mild and harmonious" structure: A universe in perfect order which simply excluded the possibility of catastrophic or even "unexpected events" and surprises. This was a "divine harmony" with the perfection of physical laws, precisely arranged orbital paths and smoothly moving celestial objects. Isaac Newton became one of the "monumental symbols" of the Enlightenment movement in Europe but in fact, his conception of cosmos was neither new nor an "atheistic" view as it was suggested. He simply borrowed this "perfect and harmonious" universe model from Aristo, who lived millennia before, in ancient Greece. The universe was the direct result of a divine intelligence who with his genius created it out of a chaos, therefore it simply could not give way to any extraordinary, unexpected or "surprise" catastrophic events: Everything should work in perfect harmony like the tic-tacs of a clock, showing the respect to its Creator and of course, this "divine plan" could not go wrong in any point by allowing "anarchy" or "chaotic movements" which could cause some obvious skepticism on the perfection of the divine model. The Enlightenment ideology embraced this idea eagerly because it was also reflecting its basic divinity concept: A deity, not interfering with the "earthly activities" of human beings but putting the whole cosmos in perfect order which was "understandable" by studying the rules of the universe. "The Great Architect Of The Universe" was the mighty deity of the Enlightenment who had created the whole cosmos according to a master plan and the humanity could understand this deity and the rules of the universe he created, only by following the path of "pure science". Newtonian theory with many philosophical elements borrowed from Aristo, was underlining a new excitement which in a way was nothing but the "rapture" of the new-born religious approach: "The Science" itself. Seventeenth and eighteenth centuries became the "construction era" for the new social/political order we call "the capitalism" and its ruler class, the bourgeoisy was not only creating a new economic system but working hard on building a new ideologically complex "world view" as well. Enlightenment movement was the child of the long-lasting war against Christian dogma since the very early times: Celtic druids, Bogomils of the Balkans, Cathars of the southern France and the Alumbrados of the Spain. But as soon as the highly intellectual and sophisticated descendants of these "heresies" got rid of monarchies and feudalistic oppression, they realized that they definitely needed a replacement for the Church authority, which served well to the benefit of seniors and landlords through the centuries. The obvious ambition was to develop a new religion in accordance with that "divine model" explained above. In France, a radical wing of the revolutionaries (namely the "Jacobins") tried hard to establish a new religious excitement which would be "hand-to-hand" with "reason" but the elite bourgeoisy soon realized that what they needed was a "real" religion that would not disturb the present beliefs of the masses, and would serve them as a powerful "mind control" mechanism. This could be nothing but a new and "lite" version of Christianity which they already had in their hands: The Protestantism in continental Europe and Puritanism in Britain. The elite bourgeoisy, mostly led by the freemason lodges, decided to keep the religious feelings among people, because religion was the most powerful and effective instrument for a ruler class and as Karl Marx once stated, "They thought the people was in need of a religion to be controlled". The science and the reason were intermingled with the new religious trends and capitalism comfortably walked on its path by both keeping the mystical elements in hand and supporting a new conception of the universe which we can safely call as "scientific fetishism". The aim of the Enlightenment was to reach an advanced situation in society which would literally bring along the "equality" among human beings and would also create the appropriate circumstances for "internationalism", a brotherhood of humanity without borders, separate countries or religions. However, after the treason of the elite bourgeoisy to the Enlightenment ideals, this target was distorted a lot, or more correctly, were ecclesiastically recreated to fit the new strategy of the brand new ruling class: "Internationalism" was OK, but only in terms of economics and provided that the genuine function of this "beyond the boundaries" operation was limited to the international ruler class. In fact, this was a kind of "bourgeoisy internationalism" which had its main focus on the free and quick dealing of goods and labour among capitalist countries, as well as the "liquiditation cycle" of finance-capital between different lands to create a pool which would eventually lead the system to the forming of "multinational corporations". If we get back to the question we had when we were talking about the "scientific approach" and the new born "scientific fetishism" again, it becomes very obvious that this economic system, which depended upon the "globalization" of finance-capital and the stability of freely distributed goods and labour, has created an international (or more correctly, "multinational") financial oligarchy which shows an extreme sensitivity about the so-called "harmonious universe" conception, handed down to them by Aristo and Newton. The global capitalism needs definitely the stabilization of the monetary and financial system which is its main artery and therefore any kind of thesis reflecting a bit of catastrophism is definitely to be silenced. The psychological factors among the large populations of the world should establish the feeling of a "secure world" by giving no chance or possibility to an unprecedented event that had a potential for "chaos". Banking and financial activities, along with the world-wide insurance system, strictly needs solid and stable conditions. You should make sure that billions of people on earth feel "safe and confident" with the system and with the world as well, so they can keep their money in banks, invest in stock markets, buy insurance policies and so on. The dominant feeling should be that "Everything's going to be the same everyday - the only thing that keeps changing is the seasons in eternal cycle". This mentality has no tolerance for any unorthodox theory which would suggest a catastrophic change in the near future; because this can potentially be dangerous for the "Everything is stable" feeling and shake people's confidence to the system. Would you keep your money in the banks, if you knew that something very extraordinary is about the happen in a few years time, or would you keep on investing in stock market for the shares if you foresaw that all those things would just be a bunch of papers in a chaotic atmosphere? Would you buy a life insurance policy? Louis Althusser, a very important contemporary philosopher suggests a hegemony model in which the central authority (the State) uses very powerful ideological apparatuses for controlling the public mind and reproducing the standart daily life continuously. Media is one of these "tools", education system and school, religion, family, culture are the others. With all these factors, he states, the superstructure (political and legal institutions, the ideology, morality) gets a more "materialistic" nature and becomes more effective on infrastructure (the economical base). Since global capitalism began employing science as one of its ideological "instruments" and steadily eliminating its revolutionary qualities, the scientific orthodoxy became an ideological tool of the system, to be added to Althusser's list of "ideological state apparatuses" (ISA). At this very point, the disinformation activity operated by the top elites of the ruling class appears as a flesh-and-blood entity, which effectively uses the education system, the communications and media, the beliefs of the people and all the tiny details of ordinary daily life to keep the "unorthodox thinking" out of public mind. Specifically, "Planet X" theory has eventually become a really disturbing theory in the last 30 years for the ruling finance-capital oligarchy. Because: 1. It challenges the main paradigm which has the "harmonious cosmos" concept in its core, 2. It points out an unprecedented factor which could strongly affect the "ordinary life" on earth, 3. It draws the public attention to outer space and forces the controlled minds to establish correlations between cosmos and "mortal affairs" on the earth. The scientific establishment is very likely aware of not only the existence of the "Planet X" (or this sophisticated celestial system) but also its perihelion date and the exact orbital period since the mid-nineties. They of course know for sure that this is not a "doomsday scenario", nor does it mean the mystical "end of days" for the earth. The finance-capital oligarchy and its institutions know very well what we suggest: This "orbital passage" will trigger a chain of catastrophic events throughout the world which will shake the established system and cause a chaotical period but it will by no means be a mythical "apocalypse" or "the end of the world". However, they consider the short-term effects of large scale catastrophes more seriously, because these events may potentially cause a lot of trouble for the global hegemony system they have been trying to establish for decades: Uncontrolled, unstable regions in the world which have not been fully integrated into the global system yet, will probably be shaken by the catastrophic events that will eventually lead to a chaos. In other words, the problem is not a "doomsday" or a religious, mystical, superstitous "end of days". The main trouble is economical and political chaos which is very likely to appear in the near future, during the chaos just after the catastrophic events. They feel disturbed and worried, because they knew well that all these chaotic things happened in history: Three thousand six hundred and fifty years ago, just about 1650 BCE. *Home · Timing · Interviews · E-Groups · News Release · Articles · PX-Store © 2005 · Planet X InBound.Com*
