   I don't think you can compare Cook with McLachlan. Cook is a deep
   researcher, and a detailed chronologist. He is making a huge
   contribution in filling out the historical record of earth calamities
   and willing to list dates based on sophisticated ephemeris tables,
   backed by details revealed in the Chilam Balam and the Popul Vul,
   among others. That is true scholarship.
